Multiplier Effects of Teaching Economics

This recent story in the Berea Citizen highlights an economics and math lesson taught at Shannon Johnson Elementary School by Olivia Bivins, a former student in both Dr. Cynthia Harter's Introductory Economics class and Dr. Krista Althauser's Elementary Methods class in which Ms. Cindy West presented a session on teaching economics in the elementary classroom.  Ms. Bivins combined economics and math and taught Ms. Allen's third-graders both subjects using several different activities.  Kudos to Ms. Bivins for multiplying the effects of teaching by passing it on!
